Oriental University by Oriental group is a foremost education group in Madhya Pradesh. It was founded in 1995 by Sri K.L. Thakral. It has been accorded the status of the university under the University Grants Commission (UGC) act of 1956 in 2011.
The University campus is spread over 100 acres on the Indore Ujjain highway. It is first of its kind self-funded university in Madhya Pradesh. It provides undergraduate, post graduate, doctoral, vocational and diploma courses in various departments and fields as listed as follows.

The admission to engineering undergraduate course is done through Joint entrance examination (JEE) conducted by CBSE. The GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) has to be taken for pharmacy related post graduate course.
For admission in post graduate course in engineering field GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) has to be qualified. For other courses, the marks obtained in the qualifying paper forms the criterion for admission.

Admission Procedure
The Admission process is different for each different course. Details are given below:
For Undergraduate courses
For admission in graduation courses, students should fulfill the minimum eligibility that is 10+2 in science stream with compulsory subjects as required.
Students need to clear Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) that is conducted by CBSE. Selected students will be called for other round of admission.
For Postgraduate courses
For admission in post graduate courses, students should fulfill the minimum eligibility that is graduation with minimum 50%.
Students need to clear the entrance exams such as GATE and GPAT. Selected students will be called for group discussion and personal interview.

CAMPUS FACILITIES
The campus is spread over 100 acres.
The university is equipped with proper gym for both girls and boys and has sports complex, shuttle system, library, labs, bank, canteen, mess, medical center and WIFI connectivity. The university has activity and guest-house too.
HOSTEL
University provides hostels for boys and girls with separate rooms with 24 hours water and electricity supply. Each hostel can accommodate 1500 students.
STUDENT LIFE
Smart India hackathon is one the competition conducted and hosted by the university.
Atharva is a celebration organized by the university that focuses on Indio-Western culture in which student are awarded in their field of excellence.
University has one Microsoft innovation center club under which all the workshops and seminars are conducted for students and have an entrepreneur celltoo.
University organizes industrial visit too.
For mechanical students there, a club called inceptor cell to conduct events for mech students.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -

Campus Life
No campus life as most of the students are from a particular area. No diversity among the students. The culture of the campus is even worse. Gender ratio varies from department to department. Generally, it is around 5:1. The management need to develop more in the extra curricular and sports facilities.
Academics
Exams are frequent as there were unit tests, mid semester test followed by end-semester examinations, These examinations were based on the concepts which should have been covered beforehand but, the students had to cover these on their own, get the question bank and then appear for the examinations. It was all the efforts of students.
Internships
No internship was provided by the college. Even the TPO (Training and Placement Officer) kept on changing every 6 months and most of the time, there was no TPO. The only assistance they provided in getting a internship was they gave students, letters to apply for internship to any organisation of their choice.
Loans and Scholarships
College didn't provide any scholarship to any of its meritorious students or from any fee concession to those belonging to poor financial backgrounds. Students asking for loan from banks can get the loans easily, now.
Remarks
The college is one of the top colleges in the city and have got various awards in name of it. It provides a lot of extra curricular activities. The only bad thing about the college is the management as it is not very discipline and the rules are very strict.
Entrance Exam
i got admitted through the university entrance test. I was elected based on my score in that exam and i did not had to go for any interview process. I told this college as it is one of the best and also i had heard a lot about the faculty in the placement and after my research i took admission this college

fee structure is very affordable ask compare to other colleges. Also misc fee like examination fee, project fee, library fee, also needs to be paid

Hostel and Facilities
Yes, and college provide hostel facility to students. The rooms are mostly provided on sharing basis and there is no provision for ac rooms. The food of the hostel is great and veg and non veg both are offered. The only issue is that it is not very suitable for north indian students and they can have some issues with the food.
Alumni
As per my knowledge there hasn't been any alumni meet or that sort of stuff. I had a great connection with my seniors. Connecting with them is a great thing as a lot of them who helped a lot during the placement seasons and to get placed in companies in which they were placed.
Faculty
The college has a blend of both cooperative as well as some rough faculty. Most of them are very cooperative and experience but there are some young teachers who think of themselves a lot. Also there is a mix of communication language and the faculty teaches in local language which can be an issue for some students.
Campus Life
College spread across and very big area and include state of the art architecture. Colleges not tolerate any kind of discrimination on any grounds. A lot of extra curricular activities happens what the year. The college also had its own sports event where a lot of students participated. Also students who are incline towards the academic prospects there are workshops, elocution happening in the college also. There is a mix of a lot of locals as well as students from other states.
Academics
The exams structure is good but the lab of the college are not up to date it and that can cause an issue sometimes. Exam schedule is usually released 16 to 20 days before the exam and that is enough time for students to participate and prepare themselves.
Internships
College does provide internship full duration which can trains from 45 days to 2 months. The stpend varies from company to company and there was some students were even able earn around 15000 in stipend only. Also believe that it is great to have a good connection with company you are in turning for as that gives you a lot of wants to graduate and that company can hire you.
Loans and Scholarships
The college does offers scholarships to students who are academically very strong but i do not think that they provide any loan facility. If you want loan you can contact the banks directly.
Remarks
The management of the college is not at all disciplined also some of the faculty is also not that upto the mark and just teach from the book and leave. These things hsould be changed about the college rest all is fine here. The campus was huge and had most of the facilities which it should have
Entrance Exam
I got direct admission and did not had to appear for the entrace test or any interview. So for the bba course there is no entrace but if you decide to do btech or mba course they do ask for entrace test scores. But for bba you also need to score good as admission is just based on your merit.
Fees
Fee structure was not expensive if we consider the facilities they provide. They use to take 30k per annum as fees and as the fee is low so you have to compriomise on some of the facility.
Placements
Since its a UG course the placement was not that much and limited companies came for placement also a lot of students wanted to go for higher education so they did not sit for placement so tyhe students who wanted to get a job got a fair chance. The companies offreed package of Rs 2.5 lakhs and upwards.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel and mess facilities was very good. The quality of food is good even the quality of rooms are good. So many other facilities are provided by the hostel and management was also good. People are good not rude and argument was not held between them.
Alumni
I dont think there is any alumni network but yes they did come sometimes and lectured us about how the corporate life and we should work hard if we want to get good jobs.
Faculty
I don't know their qualifications but yeah they never took any classes and were not at all interactive nor active. 1 or 2 faculty was good but others were useless. They don't know how to teach even.
Campus Life
The college is mediocre when it comes to providing extra curricualr facilities to the students. Most of the things have to be done by the students themselves which leaves very limited room. So everyone doesnt get equal opportunity this way.
Academics
There were labs and sometime classes too. The exams were held on time but there was some delay in announcing the results.
Internships
College didn't provided.. They said us to find a company for internships and not at all bothered and so we searched and that too without stipend.
Loans and Scholarships
They do not provide anything and also the fee charged is low so i dont think there is a need for loan. I dont know about scholarship as i did not get any if you want to know more you should contact the college administration they will be able to help you better,
