APG University is a private university located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The university was established in 2012 by A.P. Goyal Charitable Trust. The university offers courses in Law, Fashion, Design, Architecture, Management, Tourism, mass communication and Technology and Engineering.

The university is approved by UGC. It has approval from Bar Council of India (BCI) for law programs. Council of Architecture (COA) has approved it 5 year BArch program.

The university conducts a skill development program on its campus on Saturday to make backward students more competent.

The university has a strong focus on learning outside the classroom. It encourages the students to participate in field word and undertake internships in their area of study. University also conducts seminars and guest lectures regularly.

The university admits students through entrance tests like CAT, MAT, JEE and ZET.

How to apply:

The candidates interested can apply at AP Goyal Shimla University via both Online as well as Offline mode.

The online procedure requires registration of the candidate. The candidate after successful registration can fill the application form and submit it as well as the application fees via online mode.

For offline procedure, the candidate needs to take the print out of the application form and after filling it up need to post it along with the application fees in demand draft in favour of A P Goyal Shimla University.

Admission Procedure:

The students willing to apply for Under-graduate courses needs to complete Class 12^th and for Post-graduation courses should have Bachelor’s degree in the same discipline.

The students willing to apply for the Bachelor’s in Engineering and Architecture need to qualify the JEE Main and NATA examination.

For Master’s in Technology and Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) the candidate must have valid score card of GATE and CMAT or CAT, XAT, MAT.

Though the candidates should note that, the selection procedure of various other courses is done strictly on the basis of performance in the exam conducted by the university.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The University has a separate hostel section under their management providing boarding for boys and girls. The accommodation amenities include cafeteria, round the clock medical facility, solar water heaters, television, indoor games and outdoor games like Volleyball, Badminton, chess, and carrom.

The hostel students are also taken on excursions on a weekly and monthly basis. While selecting hostel, students can choose both Veg or Non-veg package and rooms with wash room or for common wash room.

Other Facilities

The University provides dynamic sporting and adventure facilities for the students to develop team building, to de-stress, to build leadership qualities and for time management.

The sport club has amenities for Boxing, Volleyball, Basketball, Mountain and Nature Trekking, Zipline, Reppelling, Burma Bridge, horse riding, skiing, Yoga Hall and indoor gaming facilities such as Billiards, Snooker, table tennis, and a fully functional Gymnasium.
