For M.Tech:
The objective type questions will consist of four options with only one correct response. Four marks will be given for a correct answer. There will be negative marking for an incorrect response to a particular question and 1 mark will be deducted. The medium of the examination will be English only. Candidates should try to solve as many sample papers. They will give an insight and understanding of the exam and its contents. MU OET 2018 Application Form and Submission ProcedureCandidates will have to register themselves online by visiting the official website of MU OET. The registration is already active. Deadline for applying to various courses are different. Here are the deadlines for respective courses:
Apart from the online application, no other mode of application will be entertained. Candidates have to fill academic, personal and other details carefully. This is because once the application is submitted, no amendments can be made. Candidates are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format. Candidates are expected to download and print the filled-in application in a standard format (preferably pdf). After the successful submission of the application form, a confirmation e-mail or SMS will be sent to the candidates on the registered id. The application fee is Rs 600/- whereas examination fee for the respective course is Rs 1,400/-. The payment window is already open and the last date for payment will vary according to the deadline of the various courses. Applicants can pay the examination fees using either online or offline mode. Following are the available options for payment of fees:
The demand draft has to be obtained from a nationalized bank and is to be in favour of ‘Manipal University’ payable at Manipal/Udupi. Those candidates who will opt for demand draft mode of payment will have to send their printed application form to the following address: Director, Indian Admissions, The examination fee is non-refundable. In no case, the request for refund of examination fees will be considered by exam conducting body. Here is the gist of the steps involved in online application:
MU OET 2018 Admit CardCandidates have to book their respective slots in order to download the admit card. Without a valid admit card, no candidate will be allowed to appear for the test. The slot booking will start from the third week of March 2018. Candidates are expected to book their slots in the given time period else they will be randomly allotted a slot. Once a slot is booked, no changes can be made regarding the same. After booking of the slot candidates will be able to download their admit cards. They will also get the admit card on their registered e-mail id. Applicants are expected to keep the admit card in good condition for upcoming processes as no duplicate admit card will be issued to them. The admit card will bear the following information-
MU OET is scheduled to be conducted in the 2ndweek of April 2018. Candidates have to appear in their respective slots only and on the given date. Hence, those candidates who don’t turn up for the examination will be automatically disqualified from the selection process. Below is a list of points you must remember regarding the hall ticket/admit card- MU OET 2018 Admission ProcedureThe results of MU OET 2018 will be published by the exam conducting board on the official website in the 3rd week of May 2018. The result will be viewed by entering the application number. Those candidates who qualify to a minimum acceptable level will be eligible for the counselling process. After the declaration of the result, the counselling process will begin and it is expected to kick off from the 1st week of June 2018. Candidates will have the option of booking counselling process venue while going through slot booking procedure. Candidates have to ensure that they are in possession of original documents & admission fee at the time of counselling. It is mandatory for candidates to be physically present at the time of counselling. The seats will be allotted on the basis of rank secured by the candidate in the exam. MU OET 2018 ResultsGoing as per last year pattern the result of MU OET 2018 will be available online around the fourth week of May 2018. In order to access the results, candidates need to visit the official site of MU OET 2018 and log in using their application number and password. The merit list will also be included in the result itself, in other words the All India Rank of the candidates will be available in the result. The result for MU OET 2018 will be available for download and once downloaded; candidates must keep it safely for future use. It is only on the basis of the result/rank of the candidates, they will be called for counselling and admissions will be provided to them into the participating institutes of MU OET 2018. MU OET 2018 Answer KeyBefore the results of OUCET 2018 comes out, candidates can get an idea about their marks by consulting the answer key which is released some time before the results. The answer key of MU OET will comprise correct answers to questions asked in the entrance test. The answer key will help the candidates to not only get an idea about their performance in the entrance test and but also about their chances of getting admission into which B.Tech courses offered in the university and in which institute. MU OET 2018 Cut offThe minimum scores required to qualify the entrance examination of MU OET 2018 will be decided by the concerned authorities of Manipal University. It is precisely due to these reasons that the cut off varies year to year and across programmes. MU OET 2018 Reservation of seatsIt is important to keep in mind that there is no reservation of seats for any caste or community in the admission process through MU OET. Candidates would be allotted seats strictly as per their merit ranking and exam score in the entrance exam. The fees is same for all the candidates, no relaxation of age, fees or seats is provisioned. MU OET 2018 CounsellingThe tentative date for the counselling process is 1st week of June 2018 to 2nd week of June 2018. All those candidates whose names have featured in the merit list will have to report for MU OET 2018 counselling as per their allotted time and venue. It is important to remember that the mode of counselling will be offline. It is compulsory for the candidates to report at the counselling venue and register themselves, failing to do so will result in the cancellation of their admission. Selection of preferred college and course has to be done by the candidates during registration. The payment of registration fee has to be done only through offline mode. Councelling FeeThe required counselling fee has to be paid by the candidates through demand draft. Once the registration fee has been paid, documents of the candidates will be verified. After the completion of that process, seats will be allotted as per the ranking of the candidates and his/her selected choices. The allotted candidates will be given allotment letter and receipt for paid fees after the entire process has been completed. These candidates will now have to report at their allotted institutes for confirmation of their admission. MU OET 2018 Counselling Fees:As has been mentioned above, the counselling registration and course fees will have to be paid by the candidates during the time of registration. The payment of fees has to be done in offline mode i.e., through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Manipal Academy of Higher Education” payable at Manipal or Udupi. It is important to remember that no other mode of payment will be accepted. Once the fee has been paid, candidates will be given the receipt of paid fees.
