The IMS Engineering College is a private institution approved by the AICTE. It is situated at Ghaziabad and was established in the year 1990. The NAAC organization has accredited the institution with an ‘A’ grade and the Mechanical and Computer Science department of the institution have been additionally accredited by the National Body of Accreditation (NBA).
The College offers B.Tech degree across 8 branches, M.Tech in 4 branches, along with MBA and doctoral programs.
Candidates can apply for the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses using the score of the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE).
Students are given facilities and platforms to explore and discover entrepreneurship, technological innovations and other novel ideas.
Application and Admission Procedure
Admission to various courses offered by IMS engineering college, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh is made on the basis of the rank obtained by the candidate in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE). Admissions are strictly made on merit basis. Students need to apply for the admission online.
Admission to the B.Tech courses offered by the college is made on the basis of Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. The candidate must have secured 50% marks in 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised board to be eligible for the admission.
The college also offers lateral entry for diploma holders.
For post-graduate courses the candidate must have a recognised bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks. M.Tech is offered in four streams namely – Bio-technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and VLSI design. Admissions are made on the basis of merit of UPSEE score.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel:
The campus is located on a sprawling space of greenery. It harbors; gym, bookshop and medical center. There are three complexes to accommodate more than 1500 students. It is segregated based on gender.
The rooms are furnished and spacious. Hot water supply is available. Dining mess and cafeteria provide nutritious food.
Water and power supply is available every day. Qualified wardens, medical practitioners and security staff cater to the varied requirements of students.
Other facilities:
Other amenities include a reading room, an entertainment room, a laundry room, wifi connection, a game room for indoor games and an upcoming ATM outlet.
Transportation and communication facilities are available 24/7.
The college keeps holding various technical and creative workshops; blood donation camps; cultural, literary and sports events. The college organizes recreational activities on traditional festival days. VIBGYOR and Chakravyuh are the major culture and sports fests of the college.
Scholarships, awards and concessions are provided to eligible candidates.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at IMSEC students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
I felt the college was decent for decent students. The college is good in academics and ok in extra-curricular activities. The best this is the the attitude of the management towards the student is very positive and thus which helps students to gorw in their field.
Entrance Exam
As the college falls in UP you can get through UPSEE. Also if you have a JEE Mains score still you can get into the college. The reason i took admission into the college was because of myfamily. A lot of my cousins have been alumni of the college and strongly suggested me to get into this college.
Fees
The fee for my course of the college is pretty reasonable as per me. Though i cannot speak for everybody as everone have different financial backgrounds. The colleg also offer some scholarships to deserving students and i think this way it helping out studenst who want to study but cannot due to financial constraints.
Placements
Placements are average and this college is no more accredited with TCS. Mostly, students are placed through pool campus placements. The average salary is around 3.3 LPA. Last year, Ericsson took many students from our college. Other companies too visited the campus quite often and recruited a handful of students.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel facilities are average. hostel is available for both boys as well as girls.They offer two seater as well as three seater rooms. You can even get rooms with or without AC. Mess food is average.They do provide variety.Hostel fees is around 80000.You cannot expect more at this cost.Hostels are secure.
Alumni
The seniors are sincere and helpful.They will try to help you in every possible way.Alumni network is also good.Aluminis are settled in reputed companies and visit the college quite often for seminars.
Faculty
Faculty members are upto mark they have ample amount of knowledge. And they are good at practical experience. They help in project preparation. They all are mtech from IIT OR NIT and PhD teacher are also.teacher are very cooperative.they not only teach they also provide self-discipline. They are like friends and help in any situation
Campus Life
The gender ratio is good here. There is good scope of extra-curricular activities. Also occasionally there are also events and we have a lot of fun there. The campus has a field which consists of a basketball court, a volleyball court, cricket, etc. The classrooms are spacious for the first year are air-conditioned but no such facility for the second, third or fourth year. Wi-Fi facilities are available and satisfactory.
Academics
Exams are very frequent here. Labs works makes engineering little hectic. But good for future prospects. Exam are like semester basis.and they conduct it accordingly uptu and thus it same for every college under it.
Internships
No stipened are not provided to every student but some serious are provided with internship with some company. But now i have heard that they are putting some efforts in bringing in good companies.
Loans and Scholarships
There is no such scholarship or loan offered by the college in my knowledge.They do help out in filling scholarships offered by the government every year.
