This is the premier co-educational Institution of Higher learning in education of the state of Uttar Pradesh, catering at present approximately more than 11000 boys and girls in 30 different disciplines of five faculties namely: Arts, Science, Commerce, Law and Education. It was established in July 1951 by the sincere efforts or Late Sri Acharya Narendra Dev a great Socialist and Educationist of India; Late Sant Sri Baba Raghav Dass, founder President of instution; Late Shri Parmeshwar nath Sapru, Advocate, founder Honorary Secretary of the institution and Raja Saheb, Ayodhya, Late Sri Jagdambika Pratap Narain Singh supplemented its present establishment and format in due course of time. Late Sri Mahabir Prasad Agarwal’s financial helps of Rs. One Lac brought this institution in the present campus with more than 16 acres of land and well equipped classified buildings, Auditorium, Central Library and Play Grounds. Late Sri Mahabir Prasad Agrarwal remained Honorary Secretary whole of his life. This institution is run and managed by Shri Saket Mahavidyalaya Samiti, a duly constituted un-controversial registered society. Its present president is Hon’ble Dr. Shailendra Mohan Pratap Mishra and Sri Deep Krishna Verma is Honorary Secretary of the institution. Student of the institution are from almost 20 districts of divisional Headquarters like, Faizabad, Srawasti, Basti, Gorakhpur and Azamgarh in general and from districts like Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur, Barabanki, Gonda and Basti, in particular.
