SHRI VISHNU COLLEGE OF PHARMACY was established in the year 1997 by the well known Philanthropist and Industrialist, Late Padmabhushan Dr. B. V. Raju under Dr. B. V. Raju Foundation and Shri Vishnu Educational Society. With the Demise of the founder Chairman in June, 2002, Sri K. V. Vishnu Raju, his grandson succeeded as Chairman and is making all efforts to impart the Quality Education

Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy (SVCP) is the first private Pharmacy College affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and is situated in pollution free sprawling campus spread over 108 acres, with the latest equipment, spacious air-conditioned smart lecture halls, computer lab and seminar hall along with good library facilities. SVCP has been successful in providing and maintaining high quality in teaching in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Few research scholars and staff members are pursuing their research work.

Our students are placed in various pharma industries and many of our Alumni are doing extremely well in industry, education and profession both in India and abroad. Our institute is having well experienced qualified and dedicated staff maintaining the academic standards. The college has been organizing seminars, conferences and guest lectures at regular intervals by eminent personalities from industries and academics.

SVCP got NBA approval for B.Pharmacy and M.Pharmacy –Pharm. Technology course. SVCP is the first Pharmacy College in A. P. to be accredited by NAAC, Bangalore ( for 5 years, with effect from 2011) with the CGPA (2.82/4.00). Recently, our B.Pharm student, Ms P.Sahitya(2007-11 batch) got the Prof. M.L.Shroff Award, for securing All India first rank in B.Pharm(under semester pattern). Some of our faculty members got Research grant from AICTE( RPS, MODROBS) and DST.

Admission Procedure:

B.Pharmacy/Pharm.D

We follow a standard admission process where in candidates who have passed 10+2 with maths, physics and chemistry or biology, physics and chemistry as major subjects and with minimum 50% of marks are eligible to apply. Selection will be on the basis of marks obtained in EAMCET (Engg, Agriculture and Medical common Entrance test). Admission either through EAMCET counseling or by enrollment with Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, Vishnupur, Bhimavaram, West Godavari Dist, Andhra Pradesh.

Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate( 3 Year Course).

Candidates who have passed B.Pharmacy are eligible to apply. Selection will be on the basis of GPAT/PGCET ranks. Admission either through GPAT/PGCET counseling or by enrollment with Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, Vishnupur, Bhimavaram, West Godavari Dist, Andhra Pradesh.

M. Pharmacy

The selection will be on the basis of GPAT Examination (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) for non-sponsored candidates and entrance test conducted by the University (PGCET) for sponsored and self-supporting candidates. Admission is either through GPAT / PGCET counseling or by enrollment with Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, Vishnupur, Bhimavaram, West Godavari Dist, Andhra Pradesh.
