Bethuadahari College Nadia

Bethuadahari College was established on October 6, 1986. Initially the college was affiliated to the University of Calcutta. In 1999, it is affiliated to the University of Kalyani. It is an undergraduate college associated with the University of Kalyani. The enlightened citizens, local traders, poor villagers, marginal farmers, landless agricultural laborers, vendors, hawkers, rickshaw pullers, porters etc. contributed a lot to set up the college either by means of giving/extending financial help or offering manual labor. Even the local rural unemployed youth offered their labor voluntarily for construction work of the college. The college proudly acknowledges their contributions and honours the sentiment of the surrounding people.

The college started its journey with commerce stream. Thereafter, other subjects like History, Bengali, Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy, and English in B.A. Course were introduced. Initially the college when it was affiliated to the University of Calcutta introduced Honours Courses in Accountancy as well as History.

The University of Kalyani gave their permission to our College to introduce some Honours Courses in different subjects. As a consequence, Honours Courses in Geography, Bengali and Political Science have been introduced at enhanced rate. The college authority has been contemplating to introduce many more Honours Courses keeping in view the interests of the students.
