Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology was founded by Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education, Vijayawada is the year 1998 with an aim to enhance the quality of education in our society. It is located in the serene city of Kanuru, Vijayawada of the state Andhra Pradesh.

All the courses offered in this institute are approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and it is affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada. It is an autonomous institute which has been certified by ISO 9001 – 2008 for its high-quality standards. National Board of Accreditation has accredited this institute in the year 2007 and then re-accreditation was done in the year 2012.

It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various departments of technology. It also provides degrees of business administration (MBA) and computer applications (MCA) to the interested candidates. Various department in the institute are-

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The institute offers hostel facilities for girls. The girls’ hostel is spread over 3 floors and has 58 rooms with a capacity of accommodating 260 girl students. The rooms are available on quadruple sharing basis.

The hostel mess provides extremely hygienic food and special traditional meals are prepared on festival days. The hostels have solar water heaters, internet access, bus facilities and playgrounds with tennis and throw ball courts.

The hostels have extremely tight round-the-clock security services.

Campus facilities

The campus has well equipped spacious classrooms and state of the art departmental laboratories with all the latest technology. The entire campus is equipped with 1000 computers.

There are separate waiting rooms for boys and girls on each floor.

The college has various clubs such as- a cultural club, NSS and NCC units.

The institute has an active research and development cell and an active entrepreneurship development cell. The college library has a huge collection of books, 150 special journals and a digital library too.

The institute has its own women’s cell for looking into all matters concerning the girl students.
