Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College started functioning in the year 1998. The private engineering college has been recognized by various organizations like AICTE, NBA and Uttar Pradesh Technical University etc. It is a “B” grade college accreted by NAAC.

At present there are around 200 academic staffs, all are very efficient and skilled. It has achieved the best Engineering College in Uttar Pradesh Award for its excellence by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. It has also achieved CMAI award for best industry Interface by the Ministry of Science and technology, UP Govt.

This technical institute is situated in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and it is spread over across a large area of 40 acres. This college campus is situated a rural area of Uttar Pradesh.

Apart from the good academic atmosphere it also provides various other facilities such as hostel facility, good gym, cafeteria, auditorium, seminar hall, ATM, Computer Centre, Library, labs etc. The whole college campus is WIFI equipped.

This college offers B.Tech and M.Tech in various engineering streams such as Civil engineering, mechanical engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology etc.

UPSEE, a state level entrance exam is the gate pass for getting admission in this college.

Application and Admission Procedure

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC) is an AICTE and NAAC approved private institution which is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The institution was established in 1988.

Eligibility: The minimum qualification for B. Tech is intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admissions to all the B.Tech courses are based on the Combined State Entrance Exam (UPSEE). Candidates must score 10,000 ranks within UPSEE or 40,000 within JEE All India rank.

Application form for UPSEE is available at the official website of the board. The candidates need to register before filling the form. Applicants will have to fill all the necessary details and upload the scanned copies of the required documents.

Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech with relevant specialisation | Admissions are made through counseling conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow and also directly at the College level. The University issues notification for counselling in the month of June/July and invites applications from the students

Hostel and Facilities

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is situated in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and covers quite a large area.

Hostel facility:

It has 6 separate hostels which are spread over three complexes namely, The Girls hostel complex,The junior boy’s hostel complex and Senior Boys hostel complex. There are total 3 girls hostels, 1 junior boys hostel and 2 senior boys hostels.

In the girl’s hostels, rooms are used on twins or multiple occupancy bases. The junior boy’s hostel has twin sharing rooms and senior boys hostels have single /triple occupancy rooms. All rooms are spacious, airy, furnished and with basic facilities like 24 hours electricity, water etc. All hoteliers can access solar water heater’s water.

Each complex has separate mess along with modern kitchen and large dining area. Apart from these, there is a TV room too.

Other Facilities:

The whole campus is WiFi enabled. The classrooms are large which can accommodate a large number of students. Moreover, it also has a well-equipped gym, library, separate labs, canteen.

The college provides some indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities to its students. Besides that, there is a coffee vending machine and a general store on the campus.
