COLLEGE PROFILE

Located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Government Engineering College is an educational institute administered by the Directorate of technical Education, Gujarat State. The college was established in 2004. Approved by All India Council of Technical Education, the college is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University. The college offers various courses at under graduate and post graduate level.

The institute offers all the modern facilities to the students including a well-maintained library, transportation facilities, auditorium, spacious classrooms, seminar halls and conference rooms. The campus is fully residential with hostel facilities for all the students.

All the admissions are strictly merit based. The students need to qualify GUJCET for admission into the under graduate courses offered by the college.

The college has a dedicated training and placement cell to help students secure decent jobs. Various companies like IBM, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki etc. visit the campus to recruit the students for various job profiles.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel facilities- The college provides on campus hostels for both boys and girls separately. The rooms are shared on triple occupancy basis. The boys’ hostel has 94 rooms with a capacity of housing 282 boys and the girls’ hostel has 60 rooms with a capacity of housing 180 girls.

Campus facilities- The college has well stocked library spread over two floors and has 12500 books, 7 newspapers, 16 non technical magazines and NPTEL videos. The various departments have state of the art laboratories and the classrooms are equipped with black and white boards and portable projectors.

Other amenities on campus include- free internet access, canteen, indoor games facilities, outdoor sports facilities, gymnasium, auditorium, Students’ co operative stores for stationery items, SBI ATM, workshops and an Institute grievance cell.
